Abstract
A brief review on photoionization and subsequent Auger decay in atoms, small molecules and clusters is given. Some illustrative examples are presented in order to show the progress in the field, emphasized by the recent high-resolution measurements of Oulu electron spectroscopy group at the MAX synchrotron radiation facility.
