Abstract
The experimental results for change of the RBS angular scan of protons back-scattered from subsurface regions of Ni and Si single crystals were presented for different crystal temperatures and ion energy. For temperatures close to the room temperature the standard behaviour of channelling characteristics, like increase of minimum yield χmin and width of dip ψ1/2 with temperature, was determined and analysed. For Ni an anomalous behaviour of χmin and ψ1/2 at temperatures close to TC was interpreted as due to the structural and ferro-paramagnetic phase transition. The differences in scans turned out to be beyond the statistical error. The Monte Carlo computer analysis of the RBS yield showed significant role of the classically treated domain ferromagnetism in explanation of the effect.
