Abstract
⺠Natural genetic variation for longevity is significant but understudied. ⺠Segregating marker loci are identified for honey bee worker longevity and mortality. ⺠Previously identified behavioral QTL affect bee longevity. ⺠Antagonistic pleiotropy is demonstrated in at least one locus. ⺠Natural variation may strongly affect survivorship probability in haplodiploid species.
