Abstract
►Monoamine oxidase activity, lipid peroxidation and lipofuscin increased with aging. ►Glucose transporter expression and membrane fluidity decreased with aging in brain. ►Estradiol administration to aging rats reversed the age associated alterations. ►Estradiol showed its antilipofuscin, antilipidperoxidative, and anti-aging action.
