Abstract
► HOCl and chloramines cause oxidation of selected endothelial cell thiol proteins. ► One susceptible protein is cyclophilin A which becomes glutathionylated on Cys-161. ► Other oxidized proteins include GAPDH, peroxiredoxins and cofilin. ► Glutathionylation of other proteins is elevated in cyclophilin knockout Jurkat cells.
