Abstract
⺠Efficient synthetic approaches to vitamin D A-ring analogs are presented. ⺠A-ring modifications provide therapeutically valuable vitamin D analogs. ⺠19-nor A-ring analogs show selective in vivo biological activity. ⺠Selectivity improves in hybrid molecules: A-ring and side chain modified analogs.
