Abstract
⺠Metal-binding loop mutations in azurin reduce the protein thermal stability. ⺠The AZPC chimera has lower thermal stability compared to the AZAMI mutant. ⺠The thermal unfolding is irreversible and kinetically controlled. ⺠The length of the copper binding loop modulates the protein stability.
