Abstract
⺠Establishes that the formation of DDO is higher in cataractous lenses than in normal lenses. ⺠The study unequivocally demonstrates DDO in a glycated protein by LC-MS. ⺠Provides evidence for DDO-mediated synthesis of pentosidine, a fluorescent AGE in human tissue proteins.
