Abstract
⺠Mitochondrial permeability transition (MPT) pore components have not been elucidated. ⺠Peroxynitrite-induced MPT pore involves mitochondrial glutathione transferase (mGST). ⺠MGST forms a disulfide-linked protein complex. ⺠The complex includes mGST, adenine nucleotide translocator and cyclophilin D. ⺠The disulfide-linked protein complex might function as MPT pores to the swelling.
