Abstract
⺠The C-terminal 67 aa of blackcurrant D6D is essential for its catalytic activity. ⺠Of the 67 aa, six site mutations lead to a significant decrease in D6D activity. ⺠Of the 67 aa, one aa site mutation leads to a significant increase in D6D activity. ⺠N, T & Y in the last four aa of the C-terminal play some role in D6D activity.
