Abstract
⺠Microtubules are embedded in elastic medium of cytoplasm in living cells. ⺠An orthotropic-Pasternak model is developed to study vibrational behaviors of MTs. ⺠Flexural vibration of MTs is increased with stiffening of coupled elastic medium. ⺠Effect of foundation parameters H and G is more pronounced on radial vibrational mode. ⺠While torsional mode is affected lesser and the least longitudinal vibrational mode.
