Abstract
⺠Reports a computational gene finding tool that specializes on short genes. ⺠the failure of standard gene finding tools on genes of length <400 nt. ⺠Reports 22 discriminate features for short genes recognition. ⺠Reports a soft computing classifier employing AdaBoost.M1 with random forests. ⺠Proposed tool gives 92.74% accuracy, 94.77% sensitivity and 90.06% specificity.
