Abstract
⺠Regiospecificity of BphAERR41 toward dibenzofuran and 2-chlorodibenzofuran differs. ⺠We compared the structures of the substrate-bound forms of the enzyme with both substrates. ⺠Dibenzofuran is compelled to move during the catalytic reaction. ⺠Ser283 contact with 2-chlorodibenzofuran helps prevent substrate movement during the reaction.
