Abstract
⺠Thromboxane synthase (TXAS) mediates visfatin-induced IL-8 induction and angiogenesis. ⺠Visfatin induces the expression of TXAS and release of TXA2 in endothelial cells. ⺠Upregulation of TXAS by visfatin mediates endothelial IL-8 production. ⺠Blockade of TXAS-dependent IL-8 production inhibits visfatin-induced angiogenesis.
