Abstract
⺠The GSTP1 promoter is hypermethylated in over 90% of prostate cancer cases. ⺠The epigenetic effects of lycopene on prostate cancer have not been previously reported. ⺠Neither lycopene nor its putative metabolite, apo-10â²-lycopenal, altered DNA methylation of GSTP1 in LNCaP cells.
