Abstract
► In cardiac fibroblasts, SUR2/Kir6.1 channel is activated by S1P via the S1P3R. ► S1P increases cell proliferation through SUR2/Kir6.1 activation. ► S1P decreases collagen and IL-6 secretion through SUR2/Kir6.1 activation. ► S1P stimulates fibroblast migration independently from SUR2/Kir6.1 channel.
