Abstract
⺠Flexural rigidity of microtubules polymerized in the presence of GMPCPP and GTP only were measured. ⺠Values were fivefold (for GMPCPP) and threefold (for GTP) those of taxol-stabilized microtubules. ⺠Temperature dependence of rigidity was observed in GTP and GMPCPP state (only without taxol). ⺠Results indicate that rigidity is associated with the tubulin each nucleotide states.
