Abstract
⺠We compare wild-type PI3Kγ with a hybrid-PI3Kγ having only protein kinase activity. ⺠Both show similar phospholipid binding and subcellular distribution. ⺠Phospholipid liposomes influence PI3Kγ autophosphorylation dependent on their composition. ⺠Membrane-bound PI3Kγ does not show protein kinase activity.
