Abstract
⺠Establish a human immune-mediated type 1 diabetic model in NOD-scid IL2rγnull mice. ⺠Using the irradiated diabetic NOD mouse spleen mononuclear cells as trigger. ⺠The islet β cells were selectively destroyed by infiltrated human T cells. ⺠The model can facilitate translational research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
