Abstract
⺠Blood glutamate has a half-life time of 2-3 min. ⺠Blood glutamate is submitted to rapid decarboxylation. ⺠Blood glutamate and its metabolites are mainly absorbed in skeletal muscle and liver. ⺠The skeletal muscle and liver are now targets for potential drugs affording brain neuroprotection.
