Abstract
⺠A novel homopolymeric plant ferritin is firstly purified from adzuki bean seed. ⺠The EP of ASF exhibits a much stronger iron oxidative activity than that of rH-1. ⺠Both ASF and rH-1 variant are much more stable than rH-1. ⺠The degradation of rH-1 is ascribed to one amino acid residue, Ser68.
