Abstract
⺠In vitro characterization of purified AtFAR6. ⺠Expression of AtFAR6, AtFAR6-YFP fusion in Nicotiana leaves. ⺠Besides fatty alcohols as end products, AtFAR6 released fatty aldehydes, fatty acids. ⺠Both 16:0-CoA and 16:0-ACP serves as substrates at approximate the same efficiency. ⺠AtFAR6 is the first FAR produces and accumulates C16:0-alcohol within chloroplasts.
