Abstract
⺠cDNAs for SREBP-1 and SREBP-2 were characterised in Atlantic salmon. ⺠Response of SREBP and target genes to lipids investigated in cell culture. ⺠Three groups of genes were identified whose expression responded differently. ⺠Interaction of SREBP with LXR in regulation of lipid genes in salmon. ⺠Salmon Elovl5 elongase may be regulated differently from mammalian Elovl5.
