Abstract
⺠We describe the relationship between chromosome bands and genome sequences. ⺠Zones (R/G boundaries) between different regions show increased genomic instability. ⺠R/G boundaries also contain genes associated with human genetic diseases. ⺠We propose strategies for genome and epigenome analyses based on R/G boundaries.
