Abstract
⺠DNA polymerase epsilon proofreads ribonucleotides inserted into DNA. ⺠Ribonucleotide proofreading by Pol epsilon stabilizes the genome. ⺠Proofreading of ribonucleotides is less efficient than proofreading of mismatched bases.
