Abstract
⺠GLAST (EAAT1) exists as multiple differently spliced forms. ⺠We identify here a new exon-skipping form of GLAST. ⺠GLAST1c is abundant in both white and grey matter. ⺠This new form of GLAST is expressed as protein in astrocytes and oligodendrocytes.
