Abstract
► GLAST (EAAT1) exists as multiple differently spliced forms. ► We identify here a new exon-skipping form of GLAST. ► GLAST1c is abundant in both white and grey matter. ► This new form of GLAST is expressed as protein in astrocytes and oligodendrocytes.
