Abstract
► We examined the sex-dependent response to testosterone and DHT in chondrocytes. ► Only DHT regulates growth plate chondrocytes in a sex specific manner. ► PLC-PKC and PLA2-PKC pathways mediate DHT-induced rapid responses in male cells.
