Abstract
⺠Somatostatin analogs suppressed FSH-induced steroidogensis by rat granulosa cells. ⺠Pasireotide effect was more potent than that of octreotide. ⺠Blockade of BMP actions reversed somatostatin effects. ⺠SSTR activity modulates steroidogenesis by upregulating BMP activity.
