Abstract
⺠Protective effects of estradiol hormone on the splanchnic circulation and the endothelial function. ⺠Estradiol exerts its biological effects by interacting with ER-α and ER-β, which have been identified on the intestine. ⺠Both ERα and ERβ agonist could play an important roles in leukocyte -endothelium interaction ⺠Both ERα and ERβ agonist could influence neutrophil extravasations ⺠Both ERα and ERβ agonist could improve intestinal perfusion.
