Abstract

âº Exhaled nitric oxide (NO) is a biomarker of airway inflammation. âº Mercury is one of the most toxic elements affecting immune system in human. âº We found that blood mercury levels were significantly associated with exhaled NO. âº We highlight the importance of exhaled NO to assess environmental health risks.
