Abstract
► Suggesting that the administration of SPPs had a reducing effect on ROS generation. ► SPPs exerted protective effects on hydroxyl radical-induced DNA damage. ► SPPs inhibit the NF-κB pathway without altering MAP kinase activation. ► That H2O2 induced IκB phosphorylation was increased in cells treated with SPPs, where as phosphorylation of IKK is decreased. ► p38 kinase was suppressed by cotreatment with SPPs. ► SPP suppress activation of H2O2 induced NF-κB pathway.
