Abstract
â¶ Both MC3R and MC4R knockout mice show partial anorectic responses to MTII. â¶ Fos induced by MTII reduced in PVN of MC3R knockout and in AP of MC4R knockout. â¶ Mice with knockout of both receptors show neither anorexia nor induced Fos. â¶ Suggests dissociation of brain region and MC receptor subtype in feeding behavior.
