Abstract
âºThe application of vitamin C causes an increase in the concentration of progesterone. âºProgesterone and its metabolites induce an increase in the inhibitory response. âºVitamin C is involved in the protection against seizures-induced by PTZ. âºThe increase mainly of inhibitory amino acids produces a modulating effect. âºThe increases of amino acids after the ictal phase indicate an increased synthesis of them. âºVitamin C induces an increase in the concentration of amino acids neurotransmitters.
