Abstract
► Our data highlight combination renin inhibition with AT1R blockade in a transgenic model of RAAS-dependent kidney injury. ► Combination led to greater reductions in aldosterone and blood pressure but not markers of oxidative stress and injury. ► Our data suggest AT1R-dependent effects predominate over MR effects in improving markers of kidney injury in this model.
