Abstract
ⶠMethyl spongoate analogs were synthesized and evaluated for cytotoxic properties. ⶠThe side chain has an important role in determining antitumor activitry. ⶠα,β-unsaturated carbonyl moiety plays a pivotal role in the cytotoxic effect.
