Abstract
⺠The effects of glucocorticoids on cartilage and bone cells in vitro. ⺠Glucocorticoids have a protective effect against cartilage degradation and a tendency to increase cartilage formation. ⺠Glucocorticoids also have detrimental effects on the bone cells. ⺠Glucocorticoids may be used for intra-articular injections in treatment of OA, if bone damage could be impaired simultaneously.
