Abstract
Experimental studies of sodium methacrylate and methacrylic acid amide copolymerization in aqueous solutions were accomplished under isothermal conditions. A mathematical model of the sodium methacrylate and methacrylic acid amide copolymerization in concentrated aqueous solutions was proposed. This model allows predicting the monomer conversion and molecular weight of copolymer. The model considers the change of initiation efficiency and chain termination rate on increase of the copolymerization system viscosity. A comparison of experimental data with calculations was performed based on the developed mathematical model.
