Abstract
Iontophoresis is a method to deliver therapeutic compounds across a membrane with the assistance of an electric field. Topical iontophoresis on the skin has been used to deliver drugs locally. This review will provide an update on the applications of topical iontophoresis for local therapeutic effects.
