Abstract
Together, these results indicate that Geissospermum vellosii produces antinociception through an interaction with 5-HT1A receptors. Furthermore, the alkaloid 12-metoxy-1-methyl-aspidospermidine contributes to the antinociceptive properties reported for Geissospermum vellosii.
