Abstract
SummaryGrowth factors and cytokines are the vital mediators of both normal physiological and pathophysiological processes. This review will highlight the contrasting effects of certain growth factors and cytokines involved in a normal physiological process such as wound healing and in a pathological condition such as atherosclerosis. In addition, this review will also discuss the future of these signalling molecules in wound healing and atherosclerosis research.
