Abstract
Non-akinetic anaesthesia is a suitable method for correction of horizontal strabismus surgery. It is even more beneficial in cases needing adjustable suture technique. This technique avoids the disadvantages of akinetic anaesthesia of waiting for full recovery of the muscles and readjusting them within 24Â h. Non-akinetic anaesthesia allows the surgeons to adjust the sutures intra-operatively as one-step adjustable suture technique. It can be used with success in strabismus surgery in selected patients by the right surgeons choosing the appropriate operation.
