Abstract
The physiotherapist graduates from the university with skills to work in the care, teaching, research and administration setting. However, this is sometimes limited and in other suppressed, because the physiotherapist does not examine, evaluate, diagnosis or decide a treatment. The main objective is to communicate the discrepancy between the physiotherapist's job skills and the profiles of the graduates of the universities that offer the bachelor studies in Physiotherapy. In this regard, the physiotherapist needs to meet the university graduate profile in order to perform professionally and to offer better treatment to the patient. From July 2010 to December 2010, Mexican universities that offer Bachelor studies in Physiotherapy and the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social Manual of Procedures were searched for in internet. It was concluded that this manual does not coincide with the actions of the physiotherapist established in the university graduate profile.
