Abstract
The purpose of the practice analysis was to determine the activities performed by registered nurses (RNs) in radiology nursing, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform those activities. Analysis of the practice patterns was used to validate the test specifications (blueprint) of the Radiology Nursing Certification Examination to ensure that the certification examination accurately reflects current practice. The practice analysis was conducted in two phases: (1) survey development and data collection and (2) data analysis and interpretation. The following is a summary of the results of the practice analysis. This summary does not include all of the data analysis that was performed.
