Abstract
1) Intrautherine infections in full-term newborns contribute to decrease of resistin concentration, independently of their gender, general condition of newborns after birth and type of delivery. 2) In healthy and infected newborns any significant correlations between serum resistin concentrations and birth weight, body length, head and chest circumferences were noted.
