Abstract
There are children whose regulatory problems are constitutionally based on and related to peculiar features of sensory processing. These difficulties can disturb the naturally occurring process of mutual engagement and attunement in every day interactions of children and their parents and may compromise the forming of secure attachment, a necessary basic for the capacity to self-regulate. This group of children may exhibit developmental difficulties as well as internalizing and externalizing disorders in later life. Early therapeutic intervention should be focused on supporting parents-child interactions with the aim to promote mutual engagement and adjustment as “goodnees of fit”. This articles presents review researches of sensory integration process, classification DC:0-3 R, conception of L. Miller and questionnaire of self-regulation process.
