Abstract
Regulatory cells are heterogeneous group of lymphocytes playing an important role in the immune response. The first part of the paper deals with a physiological role of regulatory lymphocytes (T reg) and their importance in pathologies of young age, due to an enhanced function of these cells during this period. The second part discusses problems connected with deficient function of regulatory lymphocytes - their role in allergology, transplantology and pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases.
