Abstract
Vitamin D influence on immune cells has been known for years. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with increased susceptibility to infection, lower antibody production after immunisation, higher incidence of autoimmune diseases and worse course of the autoinflammatory diseases as data show. Decrease of vitamin D level in patients with large spectrum of primary immune disorders correlates with severity and duration of clinical symptoms, including respiratory tract infections. These patients usually should take higher doses of vitamin D supplementation than healthy population.
