Abstract
This analysis shows higher rates of disorders in children with Down's syndrome compared with normally developing ones and lower rates of mental health problems in relation to children with intellectual disability caused by a different etiology. Psychological problems differ depending on the age of subjects. Dominant problems in children with Down's syndrome are disruptive disorders, whereas adolescents suffer from mood disorders and anxiety disorders.
