Abstract
We present a case report of a 16-year-old girl treated for recurrent respiratory tract infections, in whom the diagnosis of upper right lobar bronchus carcinoid associated with right upper pulmonary lobe atelectasis was established on the basis of radiology, bronchoscopy and histopathological investigations. Surgical treatment - right upper lobectomy with sleeve resection of main bronchus resulted in long-term disease remission. The authors present a review of the literature on carcinoid in childhood.
