Abstract
The aim of this study was to describe a case of a girl with Klippel-Feil syndrome with coexisting mental and physical retardation and a cleft palate who is hard of speaking and hearing. The patient had a dysostosis, asymmetric head (right side developed better than the left one, right ear smaller, a convex occipit, strabismus, right palpebral slit smaller). Neck movements were impediment. Roentgenograms of the cervical spine revealed concrescence of vertebrae C2-C4. Intraoral examination and analysis of roentgenograms of teeth and head revealed aportognathy with laterogeny and a supplemental tooth (mesiodes). The patient had limited mouth opening. Due to many teeth anomalies, incomplete overbite and maxillar retrognathia, orthodontic treatment was necessary.
